How long have you been a part of the Universal Tankers team?

Since January 2024

Can you share a bit about your background and experience in the industry?

After leaving university, I qualified while working in a local accountancy practice. I then spent 18 years working in food manufacturing before looking for my next challenge. I do not have previous experience in the industry but am surrounded by really knowledgeable people who know the sector inside out.

What accomplishments or projects are you most proud of during your time at Universal Tankers?

It’s early days, but some of the new procedures and controls we are implementing with the team have been exciting (as far as can be an exciting in the world of finance). Do you have any individual accreditations or certifications? Qualified accountant, Degree in Accountancy and Finance and cycling proficiency. used to play darts for the county.

Lastly, could you share a fun fact or hobby that your colleagues might not know about you?

Too many years ago to remember, I was in a film called “Captain Jack” starring Bob Hoskins, Maureen Lipman and Sadie Frost. I often forget to mention I was an extra whose only scene was cut. I have run 3 half marathons (slowly), but with friends and ex colleagues we raised over £10,000 for charity.
